We are a local family run business with over fifteen years of experience in the flooring industry.  Jimmie started in flooring while in high school, working in a warehouse and binding rugs.  During college, he worked in a flooring store in Blacksburg as a salesman.

After graduating from Virginia Tech, he was an account manager for a hardwood flooring distributor.  In recent years, he managed a flooring store in Roanoke.  Jimmie’s experience has given him knowledge of the flooring industry from many varied views.

Although we’ve lived in the New River Valley since 1996, after our son was born In 2009, we made the heart felt decision to commit to Christiansburg and build our lives and business here.  Despite the rough economic climate, we took a deep breath and opened Floored in May of 2010.  We take seriously our commitment to this area by providing local and green products.  We even feature some local artists in our store décor.

We are so excited to share with you our experience and our passion for providing beautiful products that please the eye and feet, while providing solution for home or office.
